Watching

This illustration is a graphically enhanced drawing of a character.

Design

This was originally a much larger piece that featured the torso of the character but I could never get it to work right. I always loved the menacing/angry look in his eyes, so I zoomed in on one to eventually build up layers of blending into what you see now. I used the red over his eyes to push the idea of his anger. The white border and blended white over parts of the drawing make it feel like a photograph, a moment in time captured so you can see into a slice of his mind. The title text is actually explained in the tiny text which again isn't specifcally meant to be read, mostly because the story is only still in my head now.

This illustration was printed on gloss paper, framed with white matte and black frame. If you would like to purchase this the original print of this image, you can email me any time to inquire about it.
