Design

I have always loved this piece. I love to depict characters in environments or showing a certain type of emotion and drawing this made me really happy. Her expression and position definitely gets the idea of her feelings across. The box and text were just used as devices to point out her feelings and make it more obvious as well as pinpoint the idea of happiness as an emotion and how contagious it can be. The filtered lines overtop can also be seen and are seen as sunlight by most, which is exactly what it is. A lot of people think of the sun or sunlight as being happy and uplifting, and this is exactly why it was blended in, to add to the effect of the emotion in the drawing.

Being happy is definitely contagious in the right circumstances!
